Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership is recruiting a Chief Executive Officer
Thames Valley Berkshire LEP is looking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who can lead the company in its next phase of development, predominantly through the implementation of a Local Industrial Strategy. This is a critical and exciting time to join us, as we look to the future with a refreshed strategy that focuses on the opportunities and challenges facing Berkshire.
The Board of Directors is seeking candidates with proven leadership qualities, knowledge of running an incorporated body and a track record in working at the cusp of the public & private sectors. The CEO will be an effective leader of people, adept at stakeholder engagement and have a clear understanding of the drivers of productivity and evidence-based interventions. The CEO will work closely with business leaders and politicians across the public, private and voluntary sector, to lead and deliver a strategy for clean and inclusive growth in Thames Valley Berkshire.
The LEP is a company limited by guarantee competing for public funds to invest in initiatives that address barriers to economic growth. It is a strategic, business-led partnership between the private sector, local government, the community and education sectors, as well as the main business organisations. Its purpose is to bring about the sustainable economic growth of Thames Valley Berkshire through the implementation of a Strategic Economic Plan and to sustain the area’s status as the most productive sub region in the UK. To date we have secured and allocated over £200m of UK and European public funds to deliver a wide range of initiatives in our area. Alongside London, the area is the UK’s economic powerhouse contributing over £37bn in GVA to the national economy.
To have a confidential discussion about the opportunity, please contact Peter Read (Chair) or Tim Smith (CEO) at email@example.com
Closing date for applications is 12pm on Monday 28 October 2019.
